Elizabeth Sewell’s practice focuses on intellectual property transactions and Internet law. With a background at McGuireWoods LLP, Elizabeth has extensive experience in management of domestic and international trademark portfolios for global clients, as well as in copyright registration and enforcement, and domain name protection. Additionally, Elizabeth enjoys advising clients on licensing, protection of intellectual property assets in corporate transactions, sweepstakes compliance, and privacy issues.
Elizabeth had the privilege of serving as the Associate Director of the Intellectual Property Institute at her alma mater, University of Richmond School of Law. While there, she helped establish an Intellectual Property concentration, developed and maintained a blog on emerging intellectual property issues, and managed a social marketing campaign targeting student file-sharing habits.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Elizabeth Sewell worked at several Internet startup firms in San Francisco and Austin as a technical writer.
